OLD DOG - I LOVE THIS PHOTO

I HAD ONE OF THESE

I saw this photo a few days ago and remembered that this was one of my favorite toys when I was a kid. I went through a lot of pens and paper with this stuff. Amazingly, there are people alive today (born in the 80's) that have no idea what these things do.

ROBOT MOVIE - ANDROID 207

I found this on a site called Yes, I can't see you. The tag line they read "you won't be able to stop watching"... they were right.

THE MOST PERFECT SPHERE IN THE WORLD

This crystal silicone sphere was refined so well that it is described as the most perfect sphere in the world. It has been stated that if this sphere were blown up to the size of the earth that the tallest mountain on it would only be eight feet high. It is also the new standard for the comparison weight of one kilogram (this being measured by the number of atoms it is composed of). Wow... if you are into scientific technical reading (and who isn't) click on this link for more info www.csiro.au/science/ps35k.html .

VIEW OF SPACE SHUTTLE FROM MY HOUSE

I saw this on Bits and Pieces and thought it was the funniest things I'd seen all day. Humor is always a matter of perspective. If you don't get then think about it for a few minutes. If you still don't get it then ask someone... preferably a NASA fan.

REALLY COOL SOUND ADJUSTMENTS

My taste may be a bit odd but take the time to listen to this video and watch as they play with the sound. This seems to be a commercial for a German electronics company. Enjoy!

REALIZING WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU PLACE IN LIFE IS

CALVIN AND HOBBS

I had a friend in college who loved this comic strip. Although I never found it it terribly funny, I do like this piece. Robot Chicken did a skit on it a few years ago. You can have YouTube search for it.

GERMAN STAR TREK COMMERCIAL

IN SPACE NO ONE CAN SMELL THE LITTER BOX

Most people will pretty much agree that Alien is very close to being a perfect science ficiton movie. Although some of it is kind of dated now (it was made in 1979... in the movie the computer interface is almost comical) it still has some decent effects. I was watching it again the other night and I noticed something that really bothered me. It seems that they let the cat have it's way around the ship. Anyone who has ever spent much time around cats would know that the whole place would began to smell like a litter box after awhile... especially in a sealed environment. No wonder the alien got so mad.

RESCUE TAPE

This is a fairly new product and I'm looking to get my hands of some. It is a self fusing tape that has a tensile strength of 700 lbs. It's insulative for up to 800 volts per layer (not sure when that would come in handy... but you never know). It can withstand 500 degrees of heat and remains flexible down to -85 degrees F. Some agencies are even putting it in med kits. You see it at http://www.rescuetape.com/ .

BEING SICK

I had a pretty bad cold this past week and I don't care to repeat it. Having said that, the amazing thing about being sick is that first time you start to feel better everything seems so good. The human body is truly amazing.

BULL FIGHTING MADE EASY

TITAN AE

I'd almost forgotten about this film until I saw it the other day. It was produced in 2000 and used traditional animation as well as computer generated graphics. This is a good movie and goes by at a fast pace. If you haven't seen it have your DVR search for it.
